Welcome to Unoccupied Aircraft Systems Natural Resources (UAS-NR) Laboratory

Our mission is to serve the natural resources community by providing sensors, equipment, software, and knowledge to support the use of unoccupied aerial vehicles (drones) for research and teaching. 

The Laboratory accomplishes its mission by providing:

  1. UAS Resources including drones, sensors, batteries survey equipment and software.
  2. Trained and Experienced Pilots to assist with collecting drone data or providing project support.
  3. Training and Support for regulatory compliance, flight operations, and instrument calibration.
  4. Data Processing and Analysis of collected data.
  5. Outreach Opportunities for students and public interested in Natural Resources management using drones.
  6. Education Materials through publications and videos for effective drone use in a variety of settings.
